The Plan
Rechler applied for a zone change on March 14, 2017 from AAA to PDD-GS zoning at the old Island Hills Golf Course. His plan “Greybarn” is for 1,365 apartments in 27 residential buildings along with retail in eight of those buildings. His plan also calls for recreation space as well as a maintenance building and a sewage treatment plant. The buildings are planned to be up to four stories and over a football field in length. We are admittedly opposed to this zone change.
